Rotary hosts bingo day

Complete with his top hat and bow tie John Dunlevey welcomed guests at the Bingo afternoon saying: “Ladies and gents, we are about to start...”

It was Tuesday afternoon and after Valentine’s Day the previous day, every ry invited guest from Our Home dressed in something red.

As the cards for the game were handed ded out, John explained the objective of the he games. “Each card has 16 numbers between etween one and 40. You should get a number in each ach column to be announced the winner.”

As John called out the numbers, his helper Jolene Potgieter held the numbers up for those who had trouble uble hearing. Within only a few minutes Louise Joubert stood up, announcing herself as the first winner of the day.

Each winner received a chocolate and nd afterwards cold drinks and ice cream cones were served. Each h resident also received a rose as token of the loved shared by the Rotary Club of Polokwane 100 who hosted the event.

“I think it was a wonderful afternoon n filled with laughter. It was nice to have people in a social environmen­t nment enjoy themselves.”
