Municipality reaches out to Siloe School for the Blind
Members of the Polokwane Municipality, led by speaker Willeminah Modiba, visited Siloe School for the Blind outside Lebowakgomo last Friday to present 76 pairs of shoes and sanitary towels to the learners.
According to the municipality’s communications and marketing manager, Matshidiso Mothapo, the shoes were given to 37 girls and 39 boys. “This kind donation follows a request from the school’s principal to Mayor John Mpe’s office,” Mothapo explained. At the handover, Modiba said Mpe is a stern believer in education and knows that investment in education creates a better future.
