Taking hands to make Easter special
Pietersburg Hulpgroep, with the help of Solidariteit Helpende Hand Pietersburg, made Easter special for those in need.
Their members handed out meals and an Easter treat at
New Hope Ministries/Pinkster Protestante Kerk on Friday.
Petro du Plessis from Pietersburg Hulpgroep explained they annually have this initiative that is aimed at giving people a special Easter.
She added they also want to remind people that Easter is about Jesus Christ. “Therefore, we made use of the church’s premises this year and we hosted a sermon because we want to share that Jesus is the only way to heaven,” she said.
Lylani Seitz from Solidariteit Helpende Hand Pietersburg added they would like to give appreciation to the sponsors: Spar, Helpende Hand, Rina Venter and various other donors.
“Most of the food we received was from donors, while Solidariteit Helpende Hand’s head office donated the Easter eggs,” she said.
