Founders of the She Millionaire Ladies Business Expo movement, Mandy Magaya and Zodwa Mdingi, said the purpose of the movement is to empower all women in general.

“With movements and events like these, we educate women on how to be goal-driven and sustain themselves.

“The movement’s focal point is to raise awareness that women can do much more than bear children and support their family on an emotional level.

“We want to remind women they can put bread on the table too, and they can be employers and not only employees,” Magaya said.

Mdingi added the movement teaches ladies that entrepreneurship is a mindset one has to embrace. “Our movement has an educational programme that aims to help women to unlearn the archaic principles of patriarchy that were normalised by society.

“Our mantra, ‘boss lady with a wealthy mindset’, denotes excellence,” she explained.

The dynamic duo from Polokwane said this movement was founded as a way to annihilate mediocrity, as average people breed average ideas and average efforts breed average results.

“Our biggest enemy is mediocrity and once women depart from average mindsets, excellence will begin to manifest in their efforts, the ideas they invest in, and most importantly, the lives they lead,” Magaya added and said the name, She Millionaire Ladies Business Expo, was inspired by the desire to remove boundaries that exists between women and wealth.

“When someone waits to meet the CEO of a company they expect to meet a man, as opposed to a woman, and in most cases people feel the need to emphasise that certain companies or institutions are led by women,” Mdingi said. Magaya told Polokwane Observer they plan to host an annual event in celebration of their important cause.

The ladies held the She Millionaire movement event at Meropa Casino and Entertainment World recently where attendees could unlearn the idea that they cannot become successful women, to reconsider their capabilities, as well as to understand the importance of time and how to use it wisely.

“During the event women were

given a platform to network, exchange business advice and establish new clientele.

She Millionaire Ladies Business Expo is for the women who want

to improve their business, as well as for women who don’t have businesses yet but are aspiring start with their own business,” Magaya concluded.
