Residents have their say on booster shots

-

Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba launched a Covid-19 booster campaign in anticipation of the fifth wave of infections. The campaign was launched at Limpopo Mall in Polokwane on May 11.

Those who went to get the booster shot spoke to Polokwane Observer about their experience.

Emmanuel Kwinda:

I am here to take the booster so that I can boost my immune system for when we reach the fifth wave. I think it’s a great idea and a good feeling to be able to get the booster fairly close to me.

Raymond Motsoko: For me to come and get the booster shot, I believe it is a good thing in order for me to be able to protect those who are around me. I am someone who travels a lot and can potentially cause danger to those around me, which is why I need the booster. I have also seen how people have died as a result of Covid-19.

Ndlovu Godwill:

Selaelo Moloto:

I decided to get the booster shot because I am someone who gets sick from the cold regularly. Getting the booster shot will protect me throughout the winter, and unlike many others, I am not terrified of needles. I feel much better about my health because I also had two dosages of the vaccine.

I made sure that I come here to receive the booster. It is a choice and I am pleased with my choice to make sure my health is in check. I believe I will be stress-free in regard to my health, particularly in relation to Covid-19.
