Bolivia Estate backs Tekkie Tax

- Barry Viljoen

The staff of Bolivia Estate are regular supporters of charities and underprivileged members of the community.

Friday was no exception and they visited Martha Hofmeyr Tehuis to deliver 80 gift parcels and later gathered around the Bolivia Estate’s swimming pool to make a contribution towards Tekkie Tax.

Bolivia Estate’s general manager Chrezanne Dunkley explained Tekkie Tax focuses on the support of ABCDE, meaning animals, Bring Hope, children, disability and education, and because Martha Hofmeyr is such a big part of the community, they decided to visit them on Tekkie Tax Day.

“Epilepsy SA, the SAVF and Cansa ensure that about 250 national welfare organisations benefit from Tekkie Tax and we are honoured to do our small part,” Dunkley said and added that Bolivia Estate is a valuable part of the community in Polokwane.

“We assist where we can as part of our social responsibility commitment,” she assured. Dunkley handed the gift parcels containing toothbrushes and toothpaste, Dettol soap, Vaseline, roll on, tissues, Vaseline oil, soap holders and face towels, as well as razors over to SAVF general manager Mariëtte Coetzer.

“We really appreciate your gesture. We have many residents who do not have family nearby who can attend to their personal needs and with prices of sanitary products skyrocketing, the gift parcels will be highly appreciated,” Coetzer said.
