Shooters aim for points in round-robin competition
The Bushveld Hunters and Game Conservation Association Pietersburg held a round-robin shooting competition on September 17, featuring senior and junior participants.
A total of 82 individuals showcased their shooting skills at the Polokwane Shooting Club.
Each participant was allowed to shoot five shots in different positions which included sitting, standing and lying.
The annual competition had participating juniors from primary schools and high school as well as men and women singles making their way through the seven stages of the competition.
Participants accumulated points in different categories with a variety of calibers. Yoné Jonker had an outstanding performance with her victory in the junior division for primary schools.
Her results were also the overall best of the day in the women’s category.
Jaydin Fleischmann‘s performance won him a rifle and Loudine Redelinghuys won a gas pistol in the women’s category.
The event organiser, John Mouton said it was a good day to be out on the range.
He also expressed gratitude to the sponsors who contributed to the success of the event.
“With the help of our sponsors everyone who participated enjoyed the day. We love to see how the competition grows every year,” Mouton added.
