Mall of the North (MotN) shoppers had the amazing opportunity of meeting Kung Fu Panda’s Ping Xiao Po on Saturday where they created memories by taking photos with him.

To create a hype about Po visiting the mall, MotN management decided to visit a few local schools in Polokwane prior to the event, to alert the children about the meet and greet session taking place the following day.

“It was a successful day indeed because we didn’t expect so many children to show up.

“We thank and appreciate the parents for finding time in their busy schedules over the weekend to bring their children to the mall,” MotN marketing manager Mari Delport said.

During the meet and greet, the kids who couldn’t contain their excitement of seeing Po, and learned that for the first time in almost a decade, comedy icon Jack Black returns to his role as Po, the world’s most unlikely kung fu master, with a hilarious, butt-kicking new chapter in DreamWorks Animation’s beloved action-comedy franchise Kung Fu Panda 4.

They also learned that after three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po, the dragon warrior, is called upon by destiny to give it a rest already.

More specifically, he’s tapped to become the spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace.

A lucky draw also took place on the day where 10 lucky shoppers won vouchers to use at MotN, The Fun Company and others won free movie tickets to redeem at the mall. The kids also had the opportunity to ask Po any questions that they’ve always been curious about.

“Stay tuned for more thrilling adventures and family-friendly fun at MotN,” Delport concluded.
