MATEBOOK X PRO

Popular Mechanics (South Africa) - - GREAT NEW STUFF -

Huawei’s new laptop, the Matebook X Pro, is more than just another Macbook clone. The Matebook X Pro boasts a minimally borderd Fullview display which Huawei says has a 91 per cent screen-to-body ratio. Thanks to the super slim bezels, the webcam has been moved to the keyboard where it sits in a somewhat awkward spot among the function keys.

If you’re concerned about ports, the Matebook X Pro has two USB-C ports and one USB-A port.

The touchscreen comes in at 13,9-inches on the diagonal and has a 3000 x 2000 resolution which gives it a 3:2 aspect ratio – the same as Microsoft’s Surface.

All of this is powered by an 8th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, NVIDIA Geforce MX150 GPU, up to 16 GB LPDDR3 (only 8 GB in i5 flavour sans GPU) and has a claimed battery life of up to 14 hours.
