GARMIN VIVOSPORT

Popular Mechanics (South Africa) - - Tested -

The best fitness band for most people, but especially runners Forget the new nomenclature, this is the successor to the Vivosmart HR+ that took this comparison crown last year. Vivosport is the Vivosmart 3, but with built-in GPS and a colour screen. I hate that Garmin removed the physical button and halved the screen size, but love that the band is svelte enough to make it out of the way of a kettle bell.

The water-resistant band carries many design queues over from the Vivosmart 3 and includes that device’s stress monitoring feature. Outside of those upgrades over the Vivosmart HR+ it succeeds is a strength training option ( also a Vivosmart 3 feature) and an improved “Other” training option which is a good catch all.

Garmin have finally allowed the Vivosport onto its Livetrack service which allows loved ones to monitor your location when you’re deep in marathon or cycle tour training. This gives extra piece of mind in these crime-filled times R3 500
