Solar-Powered Aircraft

It was almost the ’80s, and the world was on the cusp of carrying out the first manned solar-powered flight. Much has happened in this field in the ensuing 40-odd years, but the engineers on this project were at the cutting edge of solar-powered flight. A large illustration depicted the prototype plane’s design, and quoted figures revealed the immense overall cost.
