FUJIFILM INSTAX MINI 11

-

The problem with digital- and smartphone cameras is that you take endless photos and never print them. Thousands of images end up stored in the cloud, often forgotten, and they’re kind of annoying to search through. And then there’s the instax mini 11, a chunky and colourful plastic camera that looks more like a toy than a device. It instantly prints pocket-sized photos to capture the moment, right then and there. Available in a number of pretty pastel colours, it’s powered by two AA batteries and comes with cute matching accessories (such as a strap in the same colour and a jewel button to add a bit of bling). To use, pop in a pack of instant-film sheets (sold separately), and off you go. There’s a built-in flash and a small mirror on the front, to perfect your selfie skills. As you shoot, the instax mini 11 cleverly calculates the surrounding brightness and adjusts its shutter speed accordingly. No LED screen or memory card to save your pics means it’s a solid snap-and-go entry-level device, but certainly a fun choice as a family-friendly starter camera.
