LG TONE FREE FN6 WIRELESS EARBUDS

-

How do you pick the perfect pair of wireless earbuds when there are so many options?

And what happens when the ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to design doesn’t work for your ears? A good set of in-ear headphones should accommodate different ear canal sizes. LG’s new TONE Free wireless earbuds are, first and foremost, extremely comfortable. They even come with additional medical grade (hypoallergenic) gel ear tips that are easy to change out if need be. Like all wireless earbuds, these have a rechargeable case to extend battery life. The battery lasts around six hours and popping the buds back in the case will give you an additional 12. Fast-charging is an option, too – in five minutes you can expect a full hour of listening time.

What’s unique about this case (besides the design, which is round, matt and stands out when compared to other clunky earbud holders) is that it’s compatible with wireless charging. It’s a UVnano case – when you put the earbuds back, ultraviolet light sterilises the ear tips, allegedly killing 99.9 per cent of bacteria in just 10 minutes. A fact of life is that earbuds can get pretty gunky, and while you should still wipe off dirt and debris from time to time, we love the in-built hygiene-first approach that LG has taken, especially considering so many people use earbuds for sports (and yes, this TONE Free set is sweat-ready thanks to its IPX4 waterresistance rating). The one thing we noticed right away is how seamlessly they pair to your device. Also, remove them from your ears, and the music pauses.

With dual microphones, an app to adjust the acoustics to your liking, voice-control features and customisable touch-sensitive controls, LG’s fit-friendly, bacteria-free TONE Free wireless earbuds are ideal for everyday use.
