Stating that ‘The annual crop of Greenland icebergs may soon lose its terror as the result of the discovery that every berg “talks”’, this story highlighted recent research that was being done to locate icebergs in the North Atlantic shipping lanes. Unexpected findings showed that monitoring the sound given off by icebergs was likely the most effective measure.
