ABH Chats Fair bigger ’n better

-

THE Vodacom ABH Chatsworth Fair is here again and will take place from July 31 to August 3 at Arena Park.

In addition to the normal pizzazz that fairs offer, at this year’s event there will be an edu-fair theme.

Children will get to learn about career opportunities in the navy, the harmful effects of substance abuse and teenage pregnancies.

International family therapist Rod Smith will host a special session with senior pupils to discuss the threats the youth face on social media.

There will also be a host of public awareness stalls on road safety, HIV-Aids and drugs.

Chetty’s Fun Fair will set up a host of hair-raising rides for adults and relaxed rides for children.

According to Rajish Lutchman, chief executive of the ABH, pictured, more than 150 stallholders have confirmed their participation.

The stalls range from exotic foods and saris to game stalls and ornaments.

Some of the local entertainers and groups set to perform include: Muthu Murugan, Rajiv Mothie, Shiksha’s Dance Academy, Yuvu, the ABH Youth Band, Geet Milaan, Concordes, Nagara Entertainers, Sathya Sangeet and the Vishnu Entertainers, with Imraan and Jaani in a bhangra fest.

Be sure to support this community initiative, billed as the biggest charity fair in South Africa.
