Pather’s pieces a pleasure
‘PATHER’S People’, POST, September 2, was a pleasure to read.
Not only was it interesting, it was also honest and educational.
The youth can really benefit from this kind of journalistic piece.
Dennis Pather, a seasoned journalist with many years under his belt, hit it on the head with his take on complexion and skin lighteners.
We as a society still have a long way to go because we are so consumed in this artificial world of social media and reality television, hogged by narcissists who ply their trade by emphasising looks, beauty and money.
His ‘Life’s Too Short’ piece about, Durban dentist and philanthropist Adam Mohamed, was also a great read. I found that to be very profound.
Mr Mohamed’s outlook on life and his zest for life to its fullest reaffirmed my belief that age is just a number.
I applaud Mr Mohammed for his success, contribution to society and never say die attitude.
To you, Mr Pather – thank you for your contribution to the media. All your writings make interesting reads and relate to all, irrespective of age, race and religion.
