Chithra accepts changing times

-

ACTRESS Sonakshi Sinha, pictured, is off to Budapest for the filming of Abinay Deo’s Force 2, in which she will be seen as an agent for RAW (Research and Analysis Wing, Indians’s foreign intelligence agency).

Sonakshi, who will be seen in the film alongside John Abraham, shared the news on Twitter.

“Budapest! Off for two months… Will miss you Mumbai! #Force2,” Sonakshi tweeted.

Force 2 is a sequel to the 2011 film Force, which was directed by Nishikant Kamat. Apart from John, the film starred Genelia D’Souza and Vidyut Jamwal. Force 2 will be produced by Vipul Shah, who also produced the original movie. “There is no point in classifying music as new generation or old. Just as (times) change, the world of music has also undergone changes and transformation has taken place,” said Chithra.

“We have to move with the tide. Good and bad are cyclical and we can hope for the good to come again,” she added.

In the profession for three and a half decades now, Chithra is the darling of every music-loving Keralite.

The 53-year-old singer has sung more than 25 000 songs and besides winning National Awards, she has won the state awards in all four south Indian languages.

“I am not sure if I would recommend playback singing as a viable career choice now, because there are many singers around today. Sometimes they do not even get mentions in radio credits.”

On reality shows, she said there was “some gimmickry”.

“But some of the emotions you see are very real. Everyone develops a bond over the course of the show and at times you are moved to tears when someone loses out,” said Chithra.
