Modi target of conspiracy

-

THE article in POST dated July 13-17, “Modi visit yields mixed results”, refers. Ami Nanackchand has at least tried to be unbiased in his reporting. The piece is coherent, lucid and well written, unlike some.

He writes that Modi’s “political career has been tarnished by communalism”. Well, I urge him to do more research on the subject of how Modi has been a target of a malicious and sustained smear campaign and conspiracy by certain people from the Congress Party and its vote bank for so long, and how the truth has been tumbling out of the closet slowly but surely.

There were victims in riots in Mumbai, Surat, Bhagalpur, Jamshedpur, Hyderabad, Moradabad, Bhiwandi, and earlier riots in Ahmedabad. But nobody talks about them. Nobody talks about the bloody orgy in Delhi after Indira Gandhi was gunned down: 8 000 were killed.

The focus of the Congress government was not on the violence that shook Gujarat for three days from February 28, 2002. Their obsession was targeting Narendra Modi. As a result they introduced endless lies to their narrative aiming to destroy him, creating the impression that the man personally ordered and directed mob violence against Muslims.

They used dubious witnesses whose testimonies have been exposed and rejected by the Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigative Team (SIT) as being false and politically motivated. And yet the media in India and the rest of the world failed to investigate and expose the truth.

The courts have found nothing to implicate Modi in the last 12 years that the investigations have been going on. KAMININI PRAKASH
