Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he is ready to do everything he can to help Steven Gerrard become a successful manager.

The Liverpool great will resume his relationsh­ip with his hometown club next month when he joins the academy coaching staff, 18 months since he left for LA Galaxy after 17 years as a player.

Gerrard’s long-term ambition is to become a manager, and the 36-year-old will find a willing mentor in the current Reds boss.

West Ham have rejected a third offer from Marseille for Dimitri Payet worth around £22.5 million (R377.7 million), according to Sky sources.

A source close to the club’s president claims the bid, which Marseille believe is significan­t, was made in pounds sterling.
