Soya Fish Curry
300g soya fish
1 tsp garlic paste salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp Kashmiri masala ½ tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp lemon juice
3 tbs sunflower oil
1 onion finely chopped 1 sprig fresh curry leaves 2 green chillies sliced
1 tsp ginger and garlic paste 1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp seafood masala 250g grated tomato
½ cup coconut milk fresh coriander
Marinate soya fish with garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, Kashmiri masala and lemon juice and set aside while you prepare your other ingredients for the dish.
In a large pan heat oil. Sauté the marinated soya fish for 5 minutes.
Remove and set aside for a while. Add chopped onion, curry leaves and chillies to the same pan and cook until soft and translucent. Remove from heat.
Add balance of spices, ginger and garlic paste, stir.
Add grated tomato and bring back to the heat and cook over medium heat until a gravy begins to form… for approximately 10-15 minutes.
Add the fried soya fish and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Add coconut milk and simmer for a further 5 minutes.
Garnish with chopped coriander. Serve hot with roti/ Basmati rice.
