AIMING to take you back in time, through song, Best of the Decades opened at Rockwood Theatre at Sibaya Casino last week.
From the funky disco 70s where the party never stopped, the ground breaking 80s which gave us some of the best-selling songs of all time, to the 90s – which perhaps inspired most of what we listen to today – you can expect an eclectic mix of on-stage entertainment.
Catching up with Generation Y – with sounds inspired by a movement addicted both to media and technology – the so called sound of the “Echo Boomers” can be experienced as the dominating sound of “beyond 2000”, as millennials captivate with precision performance and instrumental dexterity that would never have been attempted by pop musicians of old.
Enjoy classical sounds of the BeeGees, Disco Divas, ABBA, Queen from the 70s, icons of the 80s like Madonna, David Bowie, Lionel Ritchie and Def Leppard.
There are also unforgettable 90s songs from one hit wonders like Moving on Up and What is Love, and music from the 2000s that gave us idols like Kelly Clarkson.
