Helping to foster Ubuntu

HUMANITY is at a crossroads. A new world philosophy is needed, a world philosophy capable of creating a new era of constructive relationships.

This world of philosophy will emerge as people begin to get their direction from Ubuntu. It will be within the framework of a hate-free, fearfree and greed-free quality of living.

Without the rise of Ubuntu, we shall pay heavily for our selfishness. We need to live a quality life that will change the masses of people.

Ubuntu is the quality of life. Everybody admits the necessity of a moral and spiritual awakening. Most who feel the need for this awakening are confronted with the difficulty of how to bring it about.

We are suffering today from a spiritual drought.

Fear and greed are like a dust storm. They spread over nations. They blind and choke people. They set man against man, class against class, and nation against nation.

National and world problems remain the same because the root problem – human nature – remains unsolved.

The truth is that any lasting social and economic recovery can be built only on foundations of spiritual recovery.

Men of goodwill everywhere need a rallying point, a philosophy and a programme.

We need a power strong enough to change human nature and build bridges between man and man.

This starts when everyone admits to their faults instead of spotlighting others.

Suppose everybody cared enough and shared enough. Wouldn’t everybody have enough?

There is enough in this world for everyone’s need, but never enough for everyone’s greed.
