Heartening to feel support

-

IT IS THIS time of the month of CANSA Shavathon – a day of hope, love and unity.

It was so good to note this message, that was shared across malls throughout Durban. It was proudly hosted by Shavathon.

The effort is an initiative which myself, and other cancer suffers, are proud of.

More people are living beyond cancer and need public support to encourage them – to keep fighting and adapting to living with the side effects of treatment. We are all busy in our lives and seldom take the time off to think of the less fortunate, and the sick. I believe that these committee members, with the blessings of the Almighty and the role-players of their noble deeds, will be richly blessed.

This will definitely touch many lives with their contribution to society. I hope the excellent work done by them will be an inspiration to others, so they too could join and play a role in helping cancer survivors. Let’s not forget those who have lost the battle against cancer. The journey that a cancer patient embarks on, upon diagnosis, is not an easy one.

Heartfelt thanks to all those who showed their unwavering support.

The saying is so appropriate: “All the praise in the world is praise of those who give.”
