Fish Cakes

600g baby hake

1 large onion

¼ cup shallot

¼ cup dhania

3 green chillies

1 tsp garlic pepper 2 small potatoes, boiled and mashed

1 tsp salt

½ tsp ginger-garlic 4 heaped tsp fish coating

Boil the fish for 10 minutes. Cool. Remove bones and skin, and put in the bowl.

Chop and add the following ingredient­s: onion, shallot, dhania, green chillies.

Add the garlic pepper, salt, ginger and garlic, and the mashed potatoes. Mix well. Taste for salt if needed.

Make into small balls and press slightly. Dip into the fish coating.

Fry in shallow oil until golden brown.

You can also dip in beaten egg and crumb them.
