Pamper mom at home:
• Strike a conversation: Most of us often forget to talk with our mothers. Our elders tend to feel anxious alone at home. Make them feel loved and ease their loneliness. Talk on any topic such as their favourite memories, cooking, gardening, your childhood or theirs, etc.
• Introduce your mom to the virtual/ social media world: Teach her how to use YouTube, video calling applications, and give her a Netflix or Amazon Prime subscription. Introduce her to online games, which she can play with you and her friends. This will keep mom busy and entertained and she will feel updated with her kids’ generation.
• Relax, rejuvenate and rest together: It is important to have a relaxed mind. Look for exercises, meditation videos or download apps that have guided meditation to help relieve stress and anxiety. An hour of these exercises and yoga can stimulate physical and mental health, immunity and improve sleep. Become your mom’s everyday meditation buddy.
• Cook her favourite meal: Decorate your home with fairy lights and play some of your mom’s favourite music. You will not only make her feel special but you will also spend quality time with her. |
