Rampersad spreads lies about DLC

LIES will become truth if lies and these perpetrators are not exposed and rebutted.

Therefore, I am prompted to reply to the ridiculous, misleading and well-orchestrated letter to the editor against the Democratic Liberal Congress (DLC) by the DA’s lackey Nethraj Rampersad, titled, “Councillor sold out Indian votes” (the POST, December 22-26).

The recent attacks on the DLC through this medium is suspicious and is clearly an attempt to undermine the DLC. However, the DA have pulled it off and have earned the title as the biggest sell-outs of Indians to EFF of all times.

It is obvious that the DA is now stuck between a rock and a hard place with their deceitful acts and sell-out of the Indian voters after they started to vote with the EFF for power positions in all the metros, that they now will use their lackey Rampersad to attack me and the DLC, to justify their unethical stance.

The biggest slap in the face for all the Indians who voted DA was watching the DA jubilantly celebrate these victories with the EFF after winning these key positions in the metros as if the Indian votes never mattered to them.

The DA propaganda has consumed Rampersad to such a great extent that he is now blinded by the DA’s rip-off of the Indian voters.

Rampersad should be embarrassed for claiming that the DA is the biggest opposition in South Africa yet still cannot get things right for our communities.

Remember, the DA won all the wards in the former Indian areas since 2016. If these areas are not receiving service delivery, it simply means that the DA and their councillors are not serving their constituents.

Hence, the DA must accept absolute blame and remain accountable for non-service delivery in these suburbs.

However, the DLC, since 2016, has effectively served its constituents with great distinction despite our challenges. I have an outstanding track record of faithfully serving our people without fear or favour.

I am a person of integrity and have made great sacrifices to serve and protect the better good of humanity.

This has always been my passion because I care for our community.

Imagine how much more the DLC would do for Indians when we win all these wards in 2024.

Rampersad, the DLC will not be held to ransom by any political party, including your DA.

We are autonomous and well respected within our communities. Our Indians will not be fooled by you.
