Widowers should also be given a cut in hefty rates costs

THE municipal reduction of rates for widows is great news.

However, my concern is that we have excluded the widower from the rates reduction policy.

My humble plea to all politicians is to include widowers in this great rate reduction.

Living in eThekweni has become a nightmare for ratepayers; hence, I ask you to relook at the rates policy, since we are continually told about the fraud that takes place in this city.

It’s because we, as ratepayers, are charged the extremes for service delivery and the municipality is at its poorest to render the service to ratepayers.

This allows the extra money to be looted.

Politicians, please focus your energy on the above and do not support any suggestions that go against the ratepayers.

Remember, our rates money is used to pay you.
