Signs were evident in the stars

WHILE residents attempt to make sense of the floods that wreaked havoc across KwaZulu-Natal, it appears that the signs of impending doom had already been evident in the skies.

Mahesh Bang, a Vedic astrologer, said a rare phenomenon which had occurred over the past two months was an early indication that trouble was looming.

He said six planets changed their zodiac signs within a space of 45 days which was unusual as each planet usually did so at its own pace. Bang said this was a portent of the severe weather conditions in the province.

“Astrologically, there are nine planets that affect human life the most due to their strong gravitational pull. These planets have different speeds and revolve around the sun in 12 zodiac signs,” he said.

Bang said for these six planets to come into one zodiac sign was something that only occurred three to four times in a century. He said the planets had different natures and that for six of them to be in one zodiac sign was like putting six political parties in the same room without expecting a brawl.

Other examples of this phenomenon were that Covid-19 began between December 25 and 27, 2019, during sunrise in Wuhan city in China. This was when six planets entered one zodiac sign, which served as a precursor to the devastation that followed as a result of the pandemic.

Bang said of all the planets, Saturn’s impact was felt the most because of its slow transit around the sun.

“Saturn remains in one zodiac sign for 30 months at certain times. Currently, we are in the cycle of this influential planet’s transit.”

He said the planet had been in Capricorn from January 2020, and would remain there until the end of this month when it would move into Aquarius until the end of July.

The good news for residents of KZN is that better times are coming as Jupiter would be in Pisces at the same time that Saturn moves, resulting in a positive shift in energy.

According to Bang, this would be a good time for medical breakthroughs linked to Covid-19 and, with Jupiter’s transit into Pisces, it could lead to many people falling in love.

However, Bang, who has won many international awards, cautioned that between August 2022 and January 2023, Saturn would be in retrograde (moving backward) to Capricorn. He said some countries would again have to deal with Covid-19 and another set of extreme global patterns.

“Historically when Saturn previously transited to Capricorn, the world was also troubled with the havoc of war, fire, floods and diseases. Now, again, Saturn in the sign Capricorn resulted in the 2020’s rise of the pandemic, the peak of the pandemic in 2021 and the resolution of the pandemic in 2022.

“Actually in 2022, this virus won’t have control over us and our lifestyles. However, Covid-19 will still linger like a nail in the shoe. In 2023, the virus should become more like the ordinary flu when Saturn’s transit into Aquarius becomes more stable.”

Bang, who is based in Durban, was recently presented with the Global Fame Award 2022 in Mumbai, India, for being the best globally renowned astrologer.
