Party indolence triggers apathy

-

WHEN a person in political leadership says or does something wrong, the criticism should come from their respective parties first. This, however, is never the case within political circles. There is a hope that the storm will blow over and people will soon forget.

South Africa is being run by political and narrow-minded people who are without opinion and choose to remain silent.

These spinally deficient individuals know that their silence benefits their pockets. Thinkers and opposing views are ostracised in party circles, so these politicians keep their mouths shut when it comes to one of their own.

This indolence has not gone unnoticed by the citizenry. It triggers apathy and disdain towards politics, which is reflected in voting patterns. This, however, must not be viewed as a bad thing. In fact, this opens the door for a transparent brand of politics where politicians use their position to benefit the people rather than using people to benefit their position.
