No value in human life

-

CHARLENE Somduth’s front page article in the POST (March 1-5, 2023), “Wife, lover face murder charge”, has shocked the community of Chatsworth and the murder most definitely should be classed as one of the most barbaric.

Our elders and forefathers will hang their heads in shame at the callous, inhumane murder of the father of two.

What is happening to us? Our sense of morality has plummeted to new depths.

Enough is enough: we have a crisis and there is definitely something rotten in our community.

These insensitive and inhuman beings are savages.

The Bayview police team deserve the highest accolades for their painstaking investigation.

Definitely, a very difficult job in this country is being a policeman. To the Bayview team, take a bow for a job well done.

The suspects find no value in human life. Our magistrates who deal with these types of criminals must be more circumspect about granting bail to such suspects.

Our long judicial process needs to be more efficient in putting away these criminals for a long time, in a quicker manner.

Every day we are told that justice delayed is justice denied, but in our country it has become a norm.

My appeal to the unfriendly justice system is to speed up the process and enforce strict deadlines so justice can be served.

We are dealing with evil people. I wish the families a speedy recovery from this very traumatic period as we all mourn their loss.

Let us not forget to thank the POST team in giving us groundbreaking news which has been the most talked about topic in Chatsworth.
