Perfect family movie
MOVIE REVIEW:
CAST: Dheeraj, Smruthi Venkat, Muneesh Kanth and Kaali Venkat DIRECTOR: Meera Mahadhi Rating: 6/10
Double Tuckerr
is a maiden directorial venture of Meera Mahadhi. The comic entertainer is receiving rave reviews and is running successfully.
This was an unexpected turnaround for the movie makers – as this was a clean movie; devoid of double-barrel dialogues and fight scenes.
Hence, it’s a wholesome entertainer for the family.
In the opening scene, Arvind (Dheeraj) is left destitute after witnessing his parents perish in a car accident.
This accident leaves him physically, emotionally and psychologically scarred.
As a result, he finds solace in being alone.
His life is taken over by two adorable “angels” – animated characters named Left (Muneesh Kanth) and Right (Kaali Venkat) – who dictate how his life unfolds And what unfolds is a mixture of mishaps and comedy.
Mahadhi is applauded for seamlessly weaving the animated characters
into the movie.
Dheeraj and his love interest Smruthi’s performances are satisfactory, given the roles they had to enact.
The background score by Vidyasagar fits in amiably with the theme of the movie, but the songs are not chart-toppers. Kovai Sarala and MS Bhasker undoubtedly add flavour to the comic relief.
Double Tuckerr is an enjoyable family entertainer, not taxing on the serious audience.
