To commemorate the 157th anniversary of the arrival of Indian indentured labourers to South Africa, officials from the 1 860 Heritage Centre will hold a multi-faith thanksgiving prayer at Addington Beach tomorrow at 10am. The beach is situated close to where the Indian forebears arrived on the Truro. The public is invited to attend.

The Shri Mariammen Temple in Mount Edgecombe will commemorate the day with entertainment by Sydney Govender and Nagara Stars tomorrow from 9am.
