Light over darkness

IN THESE worrying times of almost daily strikes and protests, crippling food prices and mounting corruption, people all over South Africa are clinging to hope.

They need desperately to see some light at the end of the tunnel. The celebration of Diwali by Hindus this week is an occasion filled with religious and spiritual significance.

In wishing all our readers a happy and safe celebration, we trust it will herald an era that witnesses a victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, tolerance over prejudice, good over evil and hope over despair.
