Rajbansi should be honoured

RESPONSE to the letter, “Rajbansi deserves the honour” (POST, October 24-28).

Further to the wishes of our Indian community, we wholeheartedly agree with the suggestion of Jonathan Annipen that our late Mr Amichand Rajbansi should also be honoured as a Struggle fighter during the apartheid reign.

We all know why he was always regarded as the Bengal Tiger.

Those who don’t know him should go back and refer to our history. He stood up firm for what was right. Why don’t we rename Higginson Highway and the Chatsworth Stadium to honour his name? G SINGH Phoenix
