The Greenwood Park Shree Ranganatha­r Temple Society will observe Thai Poosam Kavady on January 12, with the flag hoisting at 3pm. It will continue for 10 days. Kavady will be held on January 21 at 4pm, and the weekday prayers will be at 6pm, on Saturday at 3pm and Sunday at 10am. Thai Pongal Sooriyer will be observed on January 15 at 10am. The Mariannhil­l Shri Siva Soobramoni­ar Alayam will observe its 70th annual Thai Poosam Kavady on January 21 at 7.30pm, and the flag hoisting will be on January 12 at 3pm. The Kalasam and Yaagam/Havan prayers will take place daily at 6pm – except on weekends. On Saturday, January 12 and 19, it will be held at 4pm, and also on Sunday, January 13 and 20, at the same time, 4pm. The Cato Manor Hindu Temple will observe Thai Poosam Kavady, with the flag hoisting on January 12 at 3pm. Obayams will be held on weekdays at 6pm, and on weekends at 3pm. The main kavady is on January 21 at 6am, and the public kavady will take place on January 27 at 6am. The flag will be de-hoisted immediatel­y after the kavady on January 27. The Idumban prayer will be on January 28 at 6pm.
