CHATSWORTH FOLLOWING AN DAD, ALLEGED SHOT DISPUTE BETWEEN DIES: TWO DOG OWNERS,

● Jayshree Naidoo: What the hell is happening to most people? They become violent and use their guns for stupid arguments. Innocent lives are lost. One should always think before taking action. If we can’t do this, then we’re not humans… we are becoming wild animals.

● Emmanuel Veloo: Pathetic behaviour… opinions can differ but to kill? That’s just sad.

● Nolas Maharas: When will the government pass the law (that) no firearms (are) allowed on civilians?

● Kylen Frank: What a beautiful soul. You left us too early. Wish I could say thank you for being the friend you were to me. RIP Bro.

● Rehana Kadir Shaik: I can tell by reading the comments that this was a very good man. He appears daily on my timeline as he is known by many people. RIP. I hope they catch the suspect and give him life imprisonment.

● Amisha Patel: Civilians just abuse the use of firearms.

● Candice Mohamed Haniff: RIP, my dear cuz. Words can’t express how broken we all are. We love (you) so much. You were taken from us way too early. You will never be forgotten. FAMILY ACCEPTS PIGGLY WIGGLY APOLOGY:

● Kenneth Frank: What a good way to start 2019. Time to move forward.

● Bob Rock: Happy to hear that a resolution was made and both parties (are) at ease with each other.

● Malani Naicker: Great.

LIFE IS MY NEW YEAR’S WISH, BUT WILL MEDICAL AID PAY?

● Ramona Ramruthan: “Discovery rules prevent the funding of non-registered medicine except in a limited number of circumstances.” Isn’t the condition of the patient reason enough for Discovery to pay? It’s only through this that we come to know of these circumstances that medical aid puts families through, yet they take thousands of rand each month. Medical aid companies are ripping off patients and creating additional stress and placing burdens on families. I pray the medication is approved with no co-payments.

● Natalie Pillay: Private healthcare has become a death sentence for society. Many put themselves at the edge of financial ruin to pay the exorbitant premiums and there are still so many restrictions and red tape to save a life. It’s pathetic to see citizens being ripped off like this. I think it’s high time citizens take this up legally. People cannot be paying sometimes as much as R7 000 pm and then face this type of nonsense. If the NHI looked like it could work, we could see better days, but with our history of running other sectors, that does not look too promising. Time to take matters into our own hands. We, the people, must stand up!

● Anusha Ramdin: What about doctors and specialists charging exorbitant rates, way above the medical aid, and demanding cash? Medical aid pays back one eighth of the cash you pay, especially private practice and private hospitals.

● Penny Parmesar: Contact the Council for Medical Schemes to lodge a formal complaint. KZN MOM KILLS HOUSE ROBBER TO PROTECT FAMILY:

● Shay Gounden: This woman must get an award for bravery.

● Anita Sn: Criminals must know we will fight back and not take it lying down. Always be prepared and learn as much self defence as you can.

● Shannon Meek: With our justice system, she will be punished, sadly.

● Sash Manilal: Wow, that’s a mother!

● Megan de Bruin: Well done. So sad you had to go through that. But well done. Not only have you saved your family, but who knows how many others you have saved.

● Kuvashinie Vengadesan:… It’s what we all have to do to survive in this crime-ridden society.

● Molly Govender:… We must all take this stand. Criminals need to know that we have had enough. INDIAN WOMAN CUTS OFF ALLEGED STALKER’S GENITALS ‘TO TEACH HIM A LESSON’:

● Karen Pillay: Give the lady a Bell's. She deserves it.

● Veloshni Padayachee: Good for her. That should happen worldwide.

● Charmaine Khanayia: He got what he deserved.
