New Gear from Samsung
Samsung was not the first tech company to the 360-degree camera market, but its original Gear 360 was one of the easiest to use. Now, there is a new version with true 4K capture and higher-resolution live streaming. At 100.6 × 46.3 × 45.1 mm and 130 grams, the Samsung Gear 360 II is taller than the former model, but slimmer overall. That sees it fit more readily into pockets and bags; you still get a tripod screw for using your own mount. More importantly, quality is up – this new camera captures up to 4096 × 2048 at 24 fps, courtesy of its two 8.4-megapixel sensors. As well as H.265 MP4 video, it will snap 15-megapixel panoramic photos.
