-

POLICE are yet to make any arrests after the shocking discovery of the body of an Eldoraigne man in the back of his bakkie.

Police spokesman Constable Tumisang Moloto said investigations were still under way and they were hopeful of arresting those responsible for the murder of Robin Kerchoff.

Kerchoff went missing after he went to drop off his sister at Lanseria Airport on Tuesday morning. His body was found with severe assault wounds on Schuverberg Road in a bushy area by a security company. This was after his wife and family had searched for him at mortuaries and hospitals in vain. – Tankiso Makhetha WILL they or won’t Reeva Steenkamp’s parents testify in aggravation of sentence against the man who killed their daughter?

This is one of the questions being asked ahead of the start of sentencing in the Oscar Pistorius trial next week.

Pistorius appears on Monday before Judge Thokozile Masipa. Experts are divided over what kind of sentence Pistorius will get after being found guilty of culpable homicide in the killing of Steenkamp and whether he will escape jail or not. The sentencing procedure is expected to last most of the week and the judge may postpone proceedings before she delivers sentence. – Staff Reporter
