ANC out­lines pri­or­i­ties in its man­i­festo

SOUTH Africa’s tri­par­tite al­liance part­ners on Satur­day pledged un­wa­ver­ing sup­port for the ANC in the com­ing elec­tions.

The al­liance part­ners said this at Moses Mab­hida sta­dium in Dur­ban dur­ing the ANC elec­tions man­i­festo launch. SACP gen­eral sec­re­tary Blade Nz­i­mande said the ANC had helped lib­er­ate South Africa and other African peo­ple and de­served a man­date to com­plete its mis­sion.

“Im­por­tant to march for­ward more rad­i­cally to com­plete so­cial eman­ci­pa­tion and at the same time strengthen the pro­gramme to achieve both the African rev­o­lu­tion and world peace,” said Nz­i­mande.

He called on the ANC to work for the coun­try’s eco­nomic growth and bet­ter the lives of the peo­ple. He also called for the unity of al­liance part­ners and vic­tory for the ANC in the elec­tions and com­ple­tion of its pros­per­ity agenda. Cosatu pres­i­dent, Zingiswa Losi, said work­ers were also back­ing the ANC.
