ANC outlines priorities in its manifesto
SOUTH Africa’s tripartite alliance partners on Saturday pledged unwavering support for the ANC in the coming elections.
The alliance partners said this at Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban during the ANC elections manifesto launch. SACP general secretary Blade Nzimande said the ANC had helped liberate South Africa and other African people and deserved a mandate to complete its mission.
“Important to march forward more radically to complete social emancipation and at the same time strengthen the programme to achieve both the African revolution and world peace,” said Nzimande.
He called on the ANC to work for the country’s economic growth and better the lives of the people. He also called for the unity of alliance partners and victory for the ANC in the elections and completion of its prosperity agenda. Cosatu president, Zingiswa Losi, said workers were also backing the ANC.
