FIRST Lady Dr Tshepo Mot­sepe de­liv­ered the key­note ad­dress at the Child Health Pri­or­i­ties Con­fer­ence at the Potchef­stroom Cam­pus of the North West Univer­sity yes­ter­day.

Mot­sepe un­der­took this en­gage­ment in her ca­pac­ity as pa­tron of the South African Civil So­ci­ety for Women’s, Ado­les­cents’ and Chil­dren’s Health.

The univer­sity is host­ing a Child Health Pri­or­i­ties Con­fer­ence which fo­cused on cham­pi­oning change for chil­dren, un­der the theme “Sur­vive, thrive and trans­form – cham­pi­oning change for chil­dren”.

The con­fer­ence is a plat­form for child health prac­ti­tion­ers, aca­demics and ad­vo­cates to en­gage on the op­por­tu­ni­ties avail­able to and chal­lenges faced by South African chil­dren.
