ILYA I ROGACHEV, the am­bas­sador of the Rus­sian Fed­er­a­tion to South Africa, donned his ice skates and vis­ited Rus­sian cast mem­bers of the Im­pe­rial Ice Stars ‘Peter Pan on Ice’ on at the Teatro at Mon­te­casino. He and other mem­bers of the Rus­sian Em­bassy and their fam­i­lies at­tended the show which is on un­til Jan­uary 11 be­fore mov­ing to Cape Town. Col­lec­tively, the cast mem­bers hold more than 250 com­pe­ti­tion medals and bring their ath­letic and artis­tic tal­ents to retell J M Bar­rie’s well-loved story of Peter Pan cre­ated for the ice by Tony Mercer. One of the au­di­ence favourites is the crocodile, played by Kir­ill Pol­nikov.
