SEND YOUR TIPS FOR THE BUD­GET TO THE TREA­SURY

THE NATIONAL Trea­sury said in a state­ment yes­ter­day that Fi­nance Min­is­ter Tito Mboweni, who will de­liver the 2020 national Bud­get on Fe­bru­ary 26, in­vites South Africans to share their views about eco­nomic con­di­tions and other is­sues they would like the gov­ern­ment to high­light in the Bud­get. It said that the bud­get al­lo­ca­tion al­ways aimed to strike a bal­ance among com­pet­ing national spend­ing pri­or­i­ties. “In par­tic­u­lar, the min­is­ter would like pub­lic views on, among oth­ers, what the gov­ern­ment can do to achieve faster and more eq­ui­table eco­nomic growth.” The Trea­sury said that con­tri­bu­tions could be sent via Twit­ter to @Trea­suryRSA, with the hash­tag #Tip­sForMinFin and #Bud­get2019, or the Trea­sury’s web­site, www.trea­sury.gov. za, on the home page un­der the head­ing Tips.
