SEND YOUR TIPS FOR THE BUDGET TO THE TREASURY
THE NATIONAL Treasury said in a statement yesterday that Finance Minister Tito Mboweni, who will deliver the 2020 national Budget on February 26, invites South Africans to share their views about economic conditions and other issues they would like the government to highlight in the Budget. It said that the budget allocation always aimed to strike a balance among competing national spending priorities. “In particular, the minister would like public views on, among others, what the government can do to achieve faster and more equitable economic growth.” The Treasury said that contributions could be sent via Twitter to @TreasuryRSA, with the hashtag #TipsForMinFin and #Budget2019, or the Treasury’s website, www.treasury.gov. za, on the home page under the heading Tips.
