Push for laws to block Ne­tanyahu

JERUSALEM: Is­rael’s op­po­si­tion says it is plan­ning to push for laws pre­vent­ing Prime Min­is­ter Ben­jamin Ne­tanyahu from form­ing a gov­ern­ment, af­ter Ne­tanyahu, in­dicted on cor­rup­tion charges, came out on top in re­cent elec­tions. The Yis­rael Beit­einu party said yes­ter­day that it would push for a law lim­it­ing the ten­ure of a prime min­is­ter, and sup­port one that would pre­vent an in­dicted per­son from form­ing a gov­ern­ment. The al­liance of Benny Gantz is look­ing at push­ing for a law pre­vent­ing in­dicted min­is­ters from serv­ing as prime min­is­ter.
