THE N/A’AN KU SÊ FOUNDATION

Road Trip - - CHEETAH IN THE BACKSEAT -

The foundation was founded by Marlice van Vuuren and her husband, Dr Rudie van Vuuren, in 2006. At the sanctuary, about 40 km from Windhoek, orphaned animals are raised in an environment that encourages their instinctive behaviours, aiming to reintroduce them to their natural environments where possible. N/a’an ku sê’s conflict mitigation research has also prevented the persecution of countless felines and is further abetting the plight of Namibia’s threatened wildlife species. The foundation also runs the N/a’an ku sê Lifeline Clinic at Epukiro in eastern Namibia, the Shiloh Wildlife Sanctuary, the Neuras Wine & Wildlife Estate, the Kanaan N/a’an ku sê Desert Retreat and the Utopia Boutique & Taste Academy.
