VW ADDS A SIZED-UP POLO
The best-selling passenger car in South Africa, the Volkswagen Polo Vivo, has been expanded with the addition of a sized-up derivative, the Maxx. This model is only offered in the hatch body style and boasts a number of exclusive exterior and interior features.
The exterior features include a 15 mm raised suspension, 17-inch ‘Canyon’ alloy wheels, silver coloured exterior mirrors, Maxx lettering on the tailgate and sides, a sporty single-pipe exhaust system with a chrome trim, and aluminium roof rails.
Inside the Vivo Maxx has sport pedal clusters, a centre console in coloured trim, an on-board computer, front electric windows, a manual air-conditioner, a three-spoke leather multi-function steering wheel with aluminium insert, a colour touch radio with SD/USB/ Bluetooth/app Connect and six speakers, as well as loose lay carpets mats.
The Maxx comes standard with a driver and front passenger airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitor, Isofix mounting points, front fog lights, an immobiliser, ultrasonic alarm, and central locking.
The Vivo Maxx is powered by the 77 kw 1.6-litre engine used in the Polo range, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. It costs R225,000 and the price includes a three-year/120 000 km warranty.
