The flagship C5 Aircross SUV with its unique and assertive personality has now been introduced locally by Citroën. With its classical Suv-shape, large 720 mm diameter wheels, robust and muscular design with Airbump door and wheel arch protectors and raised ground clearance of 230 mm, the C5 Aircross is pure Citroën in design and character.

The Advanced Comfort programme in the C5 Aircross features two major innovations: new suspension technology with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions and Advanced Comfort seats with exceptional ride comfort. The new flagship delivers unique modularity in the segment with three individual sliding, folding and reclining rear seats adjustable over 150 mm, and best-in-class boot volume of 520 litres to 720 litres (depending on the seat position of the second row).

The interior features an uncluttered dashboard with a horizontal layout and a 12.3-inch Thin Film Transistor (TFT) digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch touchscreen, plus latest-generation driver assistance technologies. It is also ultra-connected and can be equipped with Wireless Smartphone Charging and Connectedcam Citroën on the rangetopping Shine models.

The new C5 Aircross, available with Feel or Shine specification levels, is powered by an efficient 1.6-litre THP petrol engine delivering 121kw of power and 240 Nm of torque, coupled to the French automaker’s EAT6 automatic transmission, giving it an 0-100 km time of 10,5 seconds and a top speed of 189 km/h. The C5 Aircross Feel retails for R469,900 and the Shine is available from R502,437.
