DEFINITIVE LUXURY
Bentley has released a significantly revised version of the Bentayga – the definitive luxury SUV, according to the German-owned British luxury carmaker. Key to the new Bentayga is its dynamic look that draws inspiration from the new design language of the marque, introduced by the Continental GT and Flying Spur. The larger matrix grille is now more upright, while new elliptical LED matrix headlamps include the signature Bentley design inspired by cut crystal glassware.
The rear has been completely redesigned with a new full-width tailgate and encapsulated lamps, while the licence plate has been moved into the bumper for a cleaner appearance. A 20 mm increase to the rear track width while the 22inch wheels brings dynamic benefit and improve the stance. The interior has also been revised with changes to the centre fascia and steering wheel, new door trims, and new seats. Rear legroom has been increased by up to 100 mm.
The Bentley ‘wing’ dashboard features a 10.9-inch display screen with edge-to-edge graphics and rear seat occupants benefit from a new, larger touchscreen remote control tablet. Connectivity has been significantly improved, with USB-C data ports and a wireless phone charger now as standard. The interior can be further enhanced with dark tint diamond brushed aluminium trim and two straight-grained veneers.
The Bentayga V8, with four-litre, twinturbocharged petrol engine developing 404 kw and 770 Nm of torque will be available first, followed by the plug-in Hybrid and performance-focused Speed version, powered by a six-litre W12 TSI engine. The first new Bentayga V8 models are expected to arrive locally in November this year.
