TUV300 REFRESHED

-

Mahindra has refreshed its TUV300 SUV with an updated front-end design and redesigned rear light cluster and rear spare wheel holder. The new model, now available at Mahindra dealers across South Africa, will initially only be available in the top specification T8 model at a price of R254 999.

The most dramatic updates are visible from the front, with a new-look grille – perhaps the boldest interpretation of the signature five-slot grille of the Indian manufacturer, with wide chrome-lined slats topped with a chrome lining. The headlamps have also been redesigned with a fresh carbon-black finish to merge with the black-and-chrome grille.

On the lower bumper, the air inlet has been widened and two squared-off fog lamps has been added as standard equipment. These lamps and the new front scuff plate are finished in a metallic grey. The dark motif is repeated on the sides, where the TUV300 now has muscular black side cladding between the squared-off wheel arches.

At the rear, Mahindra has redesigned the rearmounted spare wheel cover to feature a stylish X-design and a sporty rear spoiler has been added as standard. Inside, the rugged interior theme remains, albeit with new silver detailing around the air vents and main controls.

Sharing its mechanical platform with the Scorpio, the seven-seat TUV300 is tough and durable and powered by the proven 1.5 mhawk turbodiesel engine delivering 73.5 kw and 240 Nm of torque. The TUV300 is sold with a five-year/90 000 km service plan and threeyear/100 000 km warranty.
