Sitting on the veranda next to the bar overlooking the koi dams, mature trees, manicured flower beds and lawn of Crowthorne Lodge you can be forgiven for thinking you are in some bushveld retreat, and not in the hustle and bustle of the greater Midrand region. Ideally situated close to the business centres of Midrand and Sandton, Crowthorne Lodge is a real haven in the northern suburbs of greater Johannesburg, close to the Crowthorne shopping centre and Kyalami racetrack. The peace and tranquillity of the lodge surrounds, the big, comfortable and wellappointed rooms with extra-length king-sized beds. a Dstv enabled flat-screen TV, fully equipped kitchenette, a study nook, airconditioning, an on-suite bathroom and fast Wi-fi makes it an ideal sanctuary for business travellers and conference delegates.
From small beginnings in 2008, with only eight rooms, Crowthorne Lodge has expanded to now offer over 40 rooms,
conference and wedding facilities, and has become a favourite destination for many corporates and businesses – thanks to a strict no noise policy around the living areas and a wide variety of breakfast options and delicious South African dinners served every day.
While it caters for business guests and delegates, the lodge has not lost its homely atmosphere and is still a family-run business. On arrival, guests can expect a friendly welcome from Jessie or Bianca, and owners Dirk and Adri Winterbach personally oversees the running of the lodge, the catering services and the events.

They also encourage guests to join them in the evenings at the homely, fully equipped bar (with craft beer on tap) in the Pavilion, for some good conversation or a game of chess, pool, darts or table-tennis A boma is available for conference groups and delegates to get together after a long day and guests can also relax next to the beautiful, heated pool.
Crowthorne Lodge Midrand Conference Centre offers on-site and same-day laundry services and a shuttle service to and from the OR Tambo airport, or from business premises inside the greater Midrand/ Sandton area. Security is of the highest standard, and the premises are protected by high walls and electric fences, CCTV cameras, armed response, guards and the Midrand Police Services.
