THE big news on the east coast is that Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg are bringing their Wa h l b u r g e r s burger joint to New York, opening a restaurant on seaside resort Coney Island next month.

Chef Paul and his brothers, the pop and rap singers tur ned actors Donnie and Mark, launched their first eatery in Hingham, Massachuse­tts in 2011, which featured in a US television show.

Pop star Taylor Swift says she is to put her latest hit album 1989 on Apple Music, days after Apple Inc did an about-face, agreeing to pay artists during a free trial of its new streaming music service. Apple last Monday bowed to pressure from Swift and some independen­t music groups and labels after its decision to not pay artists created an uproar in the music world.

A maternity gown once belong- ing to former US first lady Jacqueline Kennedy and a collection of 79 photograph­s featuring never-beforeseen pictures of the young Kennedy family are to be auctioned on Thursday. The Los Angeles-based auction house Nate D Sanders said the cream-patterned dress was worn by Jacqueline Kennedy in 1960 when she was pregnant with her son John F Kennedy jr.

Actor Shia LaBeouf was treated in a hospital after suffering a head injury when a stunt went wrong while he was filming in North Dakota, his publicist said on Wednesday. The 29-year-old, who starred in the Transforme­rs’ films and with Brad Pitt in the World War II drama, Fury, is expected to resume filming soon.

Dustin Diamond, who played the nerdy Screech in the early 1990s US TV sitcom Saved by the Bell, was sentenced on Thursday to four months in jail for a Christmas night bar stabbing in a Milwaukee suburb. Jurors convicted Diamond, 38, on May 29 of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct in the incident in which he was accused of stabbing a man with a switchblad­e knife.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of late singer Whitney Houston, was moved to hospice care on Wednesday after suffering irreversib­le brain damage five months ago, and her ex was hit with a lawsuit alleging physical abuse and theft from her bank account. Bobbi Kristina, 22, was found face down and unresponsi­ve in a bath in her Atlanta home. – Reuters
